01. Deva Dhamma Jatakaya

                One upon a time when king brahmadatta was the reigning monarch in Benares, Our Bodhisatta was born as Kings's son and was called Prince Mahinsasa. His younger brother was Prince Chandra. When Prince Chandra was quite young Bodhisatta's mother died. King Brahamadatta married again and in due course another son was born and he was named Prince Sooriya. King brahmadatta was overjoyed any favour that she might ask on behalf of the newlyborn. Queen:    Long life to my Lord !

King:      Long life and happiness to my beloved Queen! I am anxious to know why you are here so early in

               The day !

Queen:   My Lord, I hope you have forgotten your promise to me when I gave you a gift of a son.

King : Yes my beloved Queen, what is it that you want on behalf of my beloved son?
